If you live in a village or a city in Nassau County,you would need to verify values in both places.
Most homeowners think the values are the same.
Many villages and cities use their own methods of valuation of Real Property. Check to see if your local village or city has their Tax Roll on their web site. If not call them and ask what your Fair Market Value is.
Also, if you don`t know a realtor in your area that has sold property near you give them a call. Mention you are curious about what your home`s value is.
