Now is the time to review the property records that are on file with the taxing authority. Even the slightest difference can affect your value. A deck that was removed, A basement that is not finished but the card says it is. A swimming pool that does not exist. The right number of bathrooms ( 1/4; 1/2; Full). Sometimes there are errors. They rarely occur but you do not want it to be your house. Even the property classification (single family or multi family). Less than 10% of Homeowners actually double check their property record card.
