Nassau County School Tax Bills are in the mail and some people are reacting to the amounts. Most people don`t realize that their Taxable Values may have increased per the Tax Roll but the Market Values have decreased. They need to get their paperwork ready to protest before March 1, 2012. Otherwise, you will have to wait an entire year.
Homeowners need to be proactive. Make sure to check that your house doesn`t contain any incorrect data attached to it, such as improvements. People respond:
"I wish I could sell my house for what it is assessed at". Now is the time to be proactive.
